The shelves in the stores are bare and prices of goods are going through the roof. Has anyone, besides Jim Rickards, ever bothered to research how our daily shopping experiences have become like trips to third world country bodegas? For those of you who don’t know who James Rickards is, Google him and then buy his book entitled "SOLD OUT". (No, I get absolutely no kickback for plugging his book, but it’s very informative.)The problems of empty store shelves and higher prices for everything began years ago when global supply chains began to be streamlined to the point where they were not only extremely quick and efficient, but weakened by becoming too thin and vulnerable. Along any supply chain there are points where any number of glitches can cause major disruptions in the delivery of goods. Essentially, we got too greedy for our own good. Now, with several problems in the global supply chains, such as the backlog of shipping containers waiting at ports of entry, goods are not available for purchase instead of flowing with the market. President Biden’s policy of fining the shipping companies for every day containers sit in the shipping yard only exacerbates the problem. Also, during the pandemic of COVID-19, workers stayed home from their jobs, but yet increased their spending thanks to the helicopter money the government gave everyone. It comes down to simple math, people. If we don’t produce more than we consume, that’s called DEFICIT! Each one of us are responsible for the Gi-NORMOUS national debt we find ourselves in.As a country, America is falling into decline. If we were a business or a single individual citizen, our balance statement would ensure that no one else in the world would do business with us. So tell me WHY is it acceptable for us as a nation to break the rules of business and basic market principles? WHY do we continue to kick the can further down the road and make even worse situations for our grandchildren to deal with? I’ll tell you the answer in one word: GREED.We have become a greedy society because we have gotten away from our principles. We don’t teach our children the importance of doing the right thing even when it’s difficult. We don’t set an example of responsibility for them to emulate. Instead, our children observe us creating bigger and bigger problems and then not solving them. They watch us shift the responsibility to a younger generation who has no say-so in the matter. And then we wonder how the world got so fucked up. WAKE UP, PEOPLE! WE DID IT!The funny thing is that the solutions to all of our problems are so simple! We have been given the answers to all of our questions and relief from all our hardships, but we are too proud and ignorant to humble ourselves and simply accept them. We are too caught up in OURSELVES to care about anything else! Well then, we deserve exactly what we get: a world of totally fucked up people and ever-worsening situations. The question becomes then, “Do you really want to take the ball and score a touchdown for society?” I was essentially asked that question while the doctors and nurses worked on me to bring me back to the world of the living. For eight minutes I was given insight into all of the problems of the world and asked if I was up to the challenge of fostering change and getting people back on the right path. So I came back! This series is called “RETURN TO THE GODS” for a reason. Whether you are agnostic or Christian, Hindu or Buddhist, Muslim or Pagan, or a VIKING, like me, the Gods have given us the best path that we can take in order to live the best life in a paradise on this planet. The problem is that we don’t put any weight behind Their principles. So my challenge to you today is to humble yourself and pick up whatever spiritual book that connects with you and learn just one of these principles every week. Put them into practice. See yourself grow and witness the change you can bring to this dying, chaotic world.Farsaela,Rauth
