China bragged about its successful launch of its Tiangong-1 space lab last week, and just like NASA might do, it showed a video on state TV showing the launch on the country’s powerful Long March 2F rocket, with animation of the spacecraft docking with a Shenzhou crew capsule. And just like NASA might do, it used “America the Beautiful” as a soundtrack. Baffled western space reporters who recognized the music, asked for an explanation of the American patriotic song. “I don’t know how to answer your question,” replied Chen Zhansheng of China Central Television’s propaganda department. “I cannot help you.”
A THOUGHT: Amusing, but the American flags pasted to the sides of U.S. rockets? – Made in China.
